The Philippine Society of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery applauds all its hardworking fellows serving all over the Philippines.

The key concept of this series of advisories is to allow the delivery of optimum otolaryngologic healthcare while reducing the risk of COVID-19 transmission to the otolaryngologist, other healthcare workers, and to the public in general.

These advisories are primarily geared towards those areas with high rates of localized COVID-19 transmission. And while the ECQ remains in some regions, we are glad that it will be lifted sooner in other regions. Hence, we encourage you to adopt the strategies that are suited based on your local COVID-19 burden and in the context of medical, logistical and organizational considerations.

While the PSO-HNS does not have the authority to impose on hospitals and other organizations, we, together with our valued academies, remain committed to providing key information, recommendations, and materials to our fellows and practicing ORL-HNS specialists to lobby for a safer work environment during the evolving phases of this pandemic
